Use the MCP connection to ask the assistant questions about your organisation’s data.
Expect access to incoming invoices, outgoing invoices, bank transactions, suppliers, accounting data, organisation users, approvers, settings, and active connections.
Ask for a single invoice or transaction when you need detail, or a filtered list when you need a broader view.
Use summary questions for totals, counts, spend, or trends; the assistant can use aggregate tools instead of raw lists.
This topic covers what the server can do, not how to connect it.
Request incoming invoices by status, supplier, date range, amount, currency, or search terms.
Ask for one invoice when you need the full document details.
Ask for outgoing invoices by status, recipient, archived state, recurring state, or search terms.
Look up suppliers, one supplier’s details, or a supplier spend summary for a period.
For keyword searches, the assistant can search invoice text and line items directly.
Request bank transactions with filters such as date range, amount, IBAN, or currency.
Ask for a single transaction when you need the full record.
Ask for ledger accounts or analytic accounts before filtering or grouping accounting data.
Use invoice or transaction summaries when you want breakdowns instead of long row lists.
For cycle time questions, the assistant should use the dedicated invoice cycle time summary.
Ask for organisation users to see members, roles, and permissions.
Ask for organisation approvers to see who can approve invoices.
Ask for organisation settings or active connections when you need current configuration context.
Use the current user lookup first if the assistant needs to confirm which organisation it should read from.
The server follows the signed-in user’s organisation access and permissions.
Ask it to fetch your current user and organisation list first.
Provide the organisation id you want it to use.
Check that your account can access the organisation in Cashfeed.
Use a narrower date range or a different search term.
Search with supplier names, descriptions, or line-item text.
Try filtering by status, currency, amount, or supplier instead of paging through everything.
Confirm you have access to that organisation and data area.
Ask for the specific invoice, transaction, or supplier by id or name.
If the assistant still cannot retrieve it, contact Cashfeed support.
Remember the MCP assistant features here are read-only for customer workflows.
Use Cashfeed in the app to make changes, or ask the assistant for read-only summaries instead.
If a tool seems to be trying to change data, stop and contact Cashfeed support.
